The Miracle League of Amherstburg received two cheques last week from major sponsors, Movati Athletic and St. Clair College. They were represented by Movati co-owner Chuck Kelly (left, both photos) and St. Clair College senior vice president of communications, advancement and external affairs John Fairley (right, both photos). Movati donated $10,000 while St. Clair College stepped up with $5,000.

Major sponsors of the Miracle League of Amherstburg are being recognized with two of them on hand last Saturday morning.
Movati Athletic presented a $10,000 cheque while St. Clair College donated $5,000. Both received signage on the new videoboard at the diamond.
John Fairley, senior vice president of communications, advancement and external affairs with St. Clair College, said Movati co-owner Chuck Kelly is an alumni of distinction with the college. They started talking about sponsorship opportunities and things they could collaborate on and that’s how the sponsorship to the Miracle League of Amherstburg arose.
Fairley said those attending the college and their family, both past and present, have been impacted by Miracle League and St. Clair College wanted to give back.
For Kelly, he said Movati has been sponsoring the Miracle League of Amherstburg for about 17 years.
His daughter Megan is a player with the Miracle League and through that, she can be cheered on rather than be the one cheering on others.
Kelly estimated Movati has donated approximately $350,000 to the Miracle League of Amherstburg in the 17 years of the league’s existence. He added it encourages the players to get active and have fun.
