A violent storm came through the area last Friday evening, causing trees to come down and hydro to be lost for many residents for a portion of the weekend. A large tree was uprooted in front of the Belle Vue property and the roof was damaged as a result of the storm. The Windsor Police Service states it is conducting an arson investigation following a fatal house fire on Texas Road last Friday night. According to Windsor police, officers responded to an active residential fire in the 100 block of Texas Road shortly before 9:30 p.m. July 3.
