Royal Canadian Legion Fort Malden Br. 157 held a fundraiser for the Phillips family Oct. 4. Gloria works at the Amherstburg Legion and husband Joe is battling cancer. The band “Back to Back” played, there was a pasta dinner, large raffle and a lot of community support for the family. The event raised just shy of $16,000.
