Local resident thanks people for help in moving large tree limb

Here in town on Wednesday, Sept. 23, it was very windy. I had just crossed Fort St. to go to Sobeys and on my return no more than a half-hour later, I was stunned to see a huge tree limb of about 40-feet or more.

I started to back up and heard female voices yelling “we’ll help!” Incoming was a mother-daughter team of first responders.

They struggled and pulled it away from the ramp I needed to cross the street.

Thank you ladies! I am so grateful and very proud of you both.

I am very happy that my guardian angel was working!
