Obituary - Carol Ann Pillon

Carol Ann Pillon

1949 - 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Pillon on March 25th, 2026, at the age of 76, after a six-year-long battle with cancer. Carol was born June 16, 1949, to parents Walter and Ida Bebbington. She is the daughter-in-law of Russell and Margaret Pillon. She will be forever missed and loved by her family. Carol is the wife of Robert Pillon and a mother to Jodi (Geoff), Jeffrey (Steph) and Janice (Kelly). Gramma to Craig, Colin (Steph), Carlie (Spencer), Kate (Josh), Emily, and Gage. Gigi to Hudson and baby Zoey (2025). Sister to Dave, Bud and Kay. Sister-in-law to Hugh and Willie Pillon. Cherished Godmother to Tim Shepley. Carol has many family friends who will miss her, including Richard White, Jana and Dax Miller, Don and Melissa Brown, Lisa Hamelin, Karen and Dave Bailey, Kathy Laramie, Sherry Fjell and Diane Riley. She is now reunited with lifelong friends Sue Charbouneau (2025), and Jane White (2025). Carol drove a school bus for 38 years and was beloved by students. Her happy place was at her son Jeff ’s cottage in northern Michigan. She had many fond memories with her husband Robert, with Richard and Jane. Carol explored the world with her family, having gone to Florida, Mexico, England, and Italy. All of which provided her with memories she loved to look back on. She loved to have fun and to spend time with her family and her bus driver friends. Carol was often found on her golf cart in the summer, as she loved feeding the birds and admiring her flowers. It was the simple things for her, finding pleasure in the simplicities of life, so long as she was with family. She greeted each day with a smile. Well, sometimes a middle finger, but mostly a smile. There will be a celebration of life held at The AMA Sportsman Association on Saturday, April 4th, 2026, from 12 pm- 3 pm. A eulogy will be read at 1 pm. Carol asked that everyone come ready to party in her honour, no tears, just smiles and good times. Lights on, lights off. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Amherstburg Miracle League would be appreciated. (e-transfer donations to payaburgmiracle@gmail.com). A sincere thank you to the Windsor Cancer Clinic and especially Annie from St Elizabeth Health Care, for their care and compassion.
