Passed away peacefully on August 22, 2026, at Erie Shores HealthCare in Leamington. Beloved husband of Madge (née Lesperance) for 61 years. Dear father of Dan “Donato” Simone (Deborah Gendreau), Linda Greenwood (Ryan), and Christina Simone (Lee Farley). Cherished Tatone of Jack and Austin Greenwood, and Evan, Benjamin, and Alexander Farley. 

Dear son of the late Donato Antonio and Lucia Simone. Predeceased by his sisters Marietta Pietrangelo and Giazietta Simone of Italy, and Anna Pietrangelo of Amherstburg. Dear brother-in-law of Marvin and Kay Lesperance, and Gary and Jackie Lesperance; predeceased by in-laws Robert, Leo, Kay, Raymond, Roy, and Irene. 

Frank was born in Roccamorice, Italy, on January 12, 1934, and immigrated to Canada at the age of 19. He met the love of his life, Madge, and they were married on April 24, 1965. Together, they raised three children and were blessed with five wonderful grandsons. 

Frank lived a full and vibrant life centered around the things he cherished most: gathering with family and friends, hunting, playing bocce, and playing his beloved accordion. Loved and adored by all who knew him, Frank leaves behind an enduring legacy of hard work, discipline, devotion to family, fine wine, and beautiful music. 

Visitation at Families First, 585 Sandwich St. South, Amherstburg on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Prayers at 3:30pm. Visiting continues Wednesday from 10am, then to St John the Baptist Church for Funeral Mass at 11am. Entombment to follow at St John the Baptist Cemetery.
