Paying tribute to member of council

Blue text reads Letter to The Editor above three wavy blue lines on a white background.

In response to Allison Baldwin’s thankfulness of Diane Pouget’s years of dedicationto Amherstburg, I don’t have the words superlative enough to thank Diane.Diane truly worked tireless for the town.

If called with a problem or concern,  she  was instantly loyal, professional, knowledgeable and relentless to anyone’s needs. I must add in my personal dealings with council, I always found her to be unbiased, hardworking and fair. I can’t say the same for all council and administration. Some feel council is a hobby to keep busy and entertained with, while others promote their personal agendas. With Diane, you could be assured your needs would get full support even under fire from other members. She was never afraid of a battle if for good reasons.

I remember especially her fight in saving our high school from being taken over among many other battles she fought for us.

Amherstburg was lucky to have her serve. She is a rare breed that seldom comes around.
