Reader says town needs leadership that is progressive and experienced

"Letter to The Editor" in bold blue font with wavy lines underneath on a white background.

Letter regarding “Amherstburg better frozen in time” lacked clarity. Message didn’t hit home.

Especially with the Amico Belle Vue cancellation announcement.

It would have been perfect timing had the message expanded.

Our town is loaded with empty abandoned space. Belle Vue, Allied, Seagrams, General Amherst High School. Duffy’s is finally developed with a partial dock after sitting in rot but what will it do.

Boating is dead with fuel prices.  People travel by car.

The theater will need Taylor Swift type entertainment to attract audiences but at what cost. There are no amenities to enjoy after the performance. Have an ice cream and go home.

The Belle Vue project is now passed on the next council. Really?

Amico promised a hotel. Where is it?

Valente has bent over backwards to develop the General Amherst High School property but council puts up blocks.

If we don’t get new leadership that is progressive, experienced, informed and willing to work our town will further rot.
