Local elementary school students present a living museum experience
Jessica Gignac’s Grade 4/5 class at École St-Jean Baptiste held a “Musée Vivant,” which is a living museum, for fellow students, staff and parents/grandparents. The class gathers for a group shot. A local elementary school class in Amherstburg welcomed their fellow classmates, teachers and parents and presented them a living museum experience. Jessica Gignac’s Grade 4/5 class at École St-Jean Baptiste presented a “Musée Vivant” last Thursday (June 4) in the school gymnasium.

McGregor Music Festival returning to Co-An Park this Sunday
Seven bands, car show and more coming June 14. The 35th annual McGregor Music Festival returns to Co-An Park this Sunday. The June 14 festival will feature seven bands, a pig auction, car show, a chicken and rib dinner “and a lot of fun,” said committee chair Sue LeClair. The festival runs from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. with gates opening to the general public at 10 a.m. Gates for the car show open at 8 a.m. Proceeds will go to the patient assistance fund at the Windsor Cancer Centre

Fort Malden Medieval Faire returning June 13-14
A jousting demonstration performed during the previous Medieval Faire. The Fort Malden Medieval Faire returns to Amherstburg next month. The second annual Renaissance faire comes to the grounds of Fort Malden National Historic Site of Canada. It is being presented June 13-14 by Faires.ca.
