Staff with the Town of Amherstburg donated $450 in gift cards to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVP) this past Monday morning. Sabrina Bilyk, the town’s human resources health & safety business partner, said voluntary donations were collected with the aim of giving back to a local charity. This year, they donated to SSVP. École St.-Jean Baptiste helped the St. John the Baptist chapter of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVP) with a donation of nearly 6,000 canned goods and non-perishable food items. The month-long food drive saw classes compete with each other for a pizza party. The winning class collected over 800 food items.
