Fill the Bus returns June 27-28 A large food drive is returning to Amherstburg later this month. “Fill the Bus” is returning June 27-28 with residents encouraged to donate food to help local non-profit organizations. It runs 9 a.m.-4 p.m. both days. Non-perishable food donations and cash donations can be dropped off at the school buses in the parking lots of Sobeys, No Frills and Walmart. The U10 Cardinals travelled to Chatham May 30 to play the Diamonds in a doubleheader. This was the Cardinals first game action of the year due to multiple rainouts. The Cardinals lost the first game 13-4, with a strong pitching performance from Brock Abraham, and Cortez McEldowney at the plate going 2-for-2.
