Man arrested after Victoria St. S. investigation

A man was arrested by the Windsor Police Service – Amherstburg Detachment last week as part of an investigation.


Police say that on July 29 at roughly 1:30 p.m., officers were involved in an active investigation which led them to the 300 block of Victoria St. S. They located a male who was wanted for allegedly failing to comply with release conditions. The accused, a 38-year-old male, was arrested and held for a court appearance, police add.

Accidents

•Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident at Alma St. and Kentucky Ave. July 25. According to police, there were two vehicles involved, with one sustaining significant damage resulting in it being towed from the scene. There were no injuries. A 30-year-old female was issued a Provincial Offences Notice as a result of the accident, police add.


•Police investigated a single vehicle accident that was reported July 29 at approximately 7 a.m. Police say an officer responded to a single vehicle accident at Laird Ave and Elm St. According to police, the vehicle had left the roadway and struck a lamp post. The involved driver was not injured. A provincial offences notice was issued as a result of the accident.


•Police say that on July 27 at approximately 8:30 p.m., an officer responded to Fort St. at Balaclava St. for a motor vehicle collision. According to police, tt was determined that the involved driver had swerved to avoid an animal and collided with a parked vehicle. The driver was not injured. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. Police add the involved driver, a 50-year-old male, was issued a Provincial Offences Notice as a result of the collision.
