We pause to celebrate the wonderful 81 years of life Robbie has had. She passed away peacefully on October 18, 2026 with her family and friends by her side. 

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Thomas, her son Alan (Laura) Piper, Todd Carroll (Ricki-Lynn Gillan). Cherished grandmother to Livi, Kaylee, Savannah and Raylah. Loving sister-in-law to Chris and Caroline Carroll, Rosalie Carroll and Madelaine Taub. 

She will be missed by many nieces, cousins, friends and her lifelong friends Francy Pearman, Margaret Bondy, Sue Garant and Rosanne Laramie. 

Robbie will be reunited with her parents Goldie and Frederick Niven, daughter Colleen White (1992), and her best friend and brother Eric Niven (2022). 

Many people knew Robbie from her business “The Sandpiper Gallery” that she opened in Amherstburg in 1980 and ran until she retired in 2000. She truly loved her work and all the people and friends she met during that time. 

In keeping with Robbie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. If you desire, donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
