Susan Marie Nicholas passed away peacefully at the age of 82, on October 16, 2026, in Windsor, leaving behind a family who will forever cherish her memory. 

Susan was born in Hamilton to the late Michael and Zuzana Hreha. She was the beloved sister of the late Michael Hreha. 

She was the devoted wife of Perc Nicholas, with whom she recently celebrated an incredible 60 years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with family, memories, and love. 

Susan was a loving mother to Mark Nicholas and Susanne Rainhard (Corey Rainhard), and a proud Nana to Shelby, Sam, and Sophia Bergeron. She was also a cherished bonus Nana to Natalie and Ryan Rainhard. Her grandchildren brought her so much joy. 

Susan will be remembered fondly by her dear friend and bonus daughter, Laurie Craig, whose love and support meant so much to Susan and the entire family. 

Susan enjoyed a good trip to the casino, especially time spent playing the slot machines, and loved treating herself and Perc to a delicious meal at the restaurant. Above all, she treasured time spent with her grandchildren and the people she loved. 

We hope there are plenty of slot machines waiting for Susan in heaven, where she can enjoy pulling those one-armed bandits to her heart’s content. 

Susan will be deeply missed by her family and all those whose lives she touched. 

A private family service took place on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
