Report of fight leads to charges

A 65-year-old male faces charges after the Windsor Police Service – Amherstburg Detachment responded to a call in the 200 block of Victoria St. S.
Officers responded to a report of people fighting in the 200 block of Victoria St S. Aug. 14 at about 12 noon. Officers arrived, spoke with the involved parties and witnesses. As a result, the man was arrested and charged with assault and assault with a weapon. The accused was released with conditions and a future court date.
Accidents
•Officers attended a two-vehicle accident in the 1500 block of Front Rd South Aug. 8 around 4 p.m. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. Police say there were no injuries to either driver. One of the drivers, a 34-year-old male, was issued a Provincial Offences Notice.
•Officers attended a two-vehicle accident on Concession 2 North at Texas Road Aug. 12 at roughly 8 a.m. Police say that both vehicles sustained minor damage. There were no reported injuries. One of the drivers, a 33-year-old male was issued a Provincial Offences Notice as a result of the collision.
