Two pets perish as a result of garage fire
A fire early Friday morning resulted in no injuries to humans, but saw two pets perish as a result. The Amherstburg Fire Department was called to the fire in the 100 block of Lowes Side Road in Amherstburg. Fire chief Michael Mio said crews were called to a fire in a detached garage. Firefighters arrived and quickly extinguished the fire, he said. The cause of the fire is being listed as accidental. Mio said during the search, firefighters found two pet dogs and crews worked
