Cornelis Heeren (seated, at right) was recognized Oct. 15 with a Quilt of Valour at Royal Canadian Legion Fort Malden Br. 157. Heeren, known as “Casey” around the branch, fought for three years in the Dutch Army and the Allied Nato Forces.
