“All About Mom” Mother’s Day Market returns, new charity supported

An annual tradition returned to the AMA Sportsmen’s Association May 9, thanks to the Sweet Moments Cookie Co.

Sweet Moments presented its annual “All About Mom” Mother’s Day Market and the Saturday market featured approximately 25 vendors. 

Mary Lippert, owner of Sweet Moments Cookie Co., said vendors come in from not just Amherstburg, but from around Windsor-Essex County. 

Lippert added the customers do too.

“They come from around the county,” she said.

Sweet Moments have been doing Mother’s Day and Christmas markets for five years and there was a change this year. 

For the first time in the five years Sweet Moments have been presenting the market, this year’s charity recipient was the Miracle League of Amherstburg.

“Kids Curing Cancer has officially retired so we approached Miracle League and asked them to be our charity,” said Lippert.

The May 9 “All About Mom” Mother’s Day Market saw some new vendors but some returning vendors as well, with Lippert pointing out some vendors have been there all five years.

CKBG 107.9 FM The Burg was broadcasting from the AMA Sportsman’s Association for a portion of the event.
