As Amherstburg Community Services (ACS) reflects on 2025, we extend our sincere gratitude and thanks to the community, volunteers, donors, partners, and supporters who made our work possible. Your continued commitment and generosity allow ACS to deliver vital programs and services that support seniors, families, and individuals across Amherstburg and surrounding areas.

Thanks to community support, ACS delivered meaningful assistance throughout the year, including:

•17,741 Meals on Wheels delivered to help ensure access to nutritious meals and regular wellness checks.

•2,648 CareLink rides, providing essential transportation to medical appointments, errands, and community activities.

•496 security reassurance calls, offering peace of mind and safety checks for vulnerable residents.

•7,418 friendly visits to our space for exercise and dance classes, luncheons and bingos, helping to reduce isolation, foster social connection and physical wellbeing.

•2,000 ‘Snack and a Smile’ packages to local elementary school children.

•263 food baskets distributed through the ACS Food Bank to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.

•200 Stuff-a-Stocking for Seniors bags delivered during the holiday season to bring warmth and cheer.

•Distributed 205 winter coats and accessories supporting 33 families through the Coats for Kids program.

•181 Income Tax Returns filed for modest and simple returns.

These programs reflect ACS’s ongoing commitment to helping residents remain independent, connected, and supported. Behind every number is a person whose life has been positively impacted by the compassion and dedication of our community.

Looking ahead to 2026, Amherstburg Community Services is excited to continue to work together to meet the demands of our growing community. ACS is also proud to work in partnership with the Pathways to Potential Neighbourhoods Program through the City of Windsor and the County of Essex, helping to connect residents with resources, supports, and opportunities that strengthen neighbourhoods and improve overall well-being. For more information about this great initiative, we invite you to check out and join our Facebook group at www.facebook.com/groups/1401465878650379

As the need for services continues to increase, ACS remains committed to strengthening partnerships, expanding supports, and responding to the evolving needs of those we serve. Together, we will continue building a caring, inclusive, and resilient community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
