Over the past year, life at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church has been shaped by steady faithfulness, shared creativity and a commitment to caring for one another and for our wider community.
We seek to be a place where people feel welcome, gifts are encouraged, and faith is lived out through compassion and connection.
Community engagement has remained central to our shared life. Events such as our artists’ participation during the Amherstburg Art Crawl, Spring and Fall Rummage Sales, and our Christmas Cantata have created opportunities for connection and generosity.
We continued partnerships with the Amherstburg Firefighters Association through their toy drive and with the Amherstburg Food and Fellowship Mission.
We also expanded our outreach through support of House of Hope, a women’s organization that offers training and ongoing support for women recovering from addiction as they rebuild their lives and return to work.
One of the year’s most joyful moments was our Christmas Nativity play, which brought children, families and dancers from the Rivertown Dance Academy together in a meaningful retelling of the Christmas story. Building on this, we are developing our children’s ministry, creating a space where children can explore faith, ask questions and grow in community. We value input from families and welcome conversation as this ministry continues to take shape.
Looking ahead, St. Andrew’s is exploring new ways to support people navigating everyday stresses through podcasts, contemplative practices and accessible spiritual resources.
St. Andrew’s is a place where everyone is welcome – those rooted in faith, those exploring and those simply curious. Together, we continue the journey of faith, hope and care.
