Local entrepreneur appears on national TV

An Amherstburg entrepreneur and lymphatic therapist has had her products featured on a national shopping channel.
Maddie Simone, founder of Lymphology Skincare, appeared live on Today’s Shopping Choice (TSC), formerly known as The Shopping Channel. Simone said her products are based on supporting the lymphatic system, including creams, body boards, teas and other products aimed at supporting lymphatic health.
“It will all stimulate and support the lymphatic system,” said Simone. “It’s good for general wellness and long-term general health. It’s balancing the body.”
Simone said she started her corporation in 2021. She is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) and Certified Lymphedema Therapist with over 15 years of experience.
“I just wanted to create something to supercharge the body,” she said. “I wanted to do something to support self-care routines at home.”
The lotions and creams were developed in partnership with chemists in Montreal while the teas were developed with the aid of naturopathic doctors in Ottawa.
“Our primary product was the body cream,” she said. “We just grow every year.”
Training took place for her TSC appearance Oct. 16 and she appeared live in three segments Oct. 26. She said the hosts treated her well and put her at ease.
“They walked me through how to be on TV,” said Simone. “Everyone was so happy and excited about the product. We’ve really opened up another line of products for them. They were very excited. I’m excited to get it out there.”
Simone pointed out she has lost two brothers, with one dying of cancer and another of a heart condition. She promised them she wouldn’t let their deaths destroy her and she wanted to promote health to honour their memories.
Lymphology Skincare products are in stores across Canada and have locations in the U.S., United Kingdom and Ireland as well. She said through TSC, people can order her products and shipping is easier, with the network also providing a wider audience.
Her connection with TSC came after meeting a host after Simone was nominated for the Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the Women’s Empowerment Awards in Toronto. The host, Natalie Beaumont, encouraged her to come on TSC and a partnership was born.
There could be more television appearances down the road, Simone added, though she is still in talks.
“We’re in negotiations for a lot of exciting things,” she said.
Her products are for everyone from working class people to seniors, and children to grandparents, she added.
“We’re not stopping,” said Simone. “I’m going to continue to do this.”
