The Miracle League of Amherstburg is finished for 2025 and wrapped up their fall season last Saturday.

The Miracle League held its annual Halloween party last Saturday at the AMA Sportsmen’s Association with the day broken up into three sessions of three teams each. Each of the nine teams enjoyed a pizza lunch followed by awards with teams coming in three at a time for the 10 a.m., 12 noon and 2 p.m. sessions.

“We had a fantastic season,” said Miracle League of Amherstburg president Shawn Dufour. “The weather co-operated.”

Dufour said the Halloween party was helped this year by Capri Pizza, who opened early and gave a deal to the Miracle League. The hall was donated by the AMA Sportsmen’s Club.

The St. John Ambulance therapy dogs were also on hand for people to visit with during the day.

Registration for the 2026 season will open in the new year, Dufour indicated, and people can register for the spring and fall seasons at the same time. There were approximately 180 players during the 2025 season, he added.
