No charges after vehicle hits sign

An officer from the Windsor Police Service - Amherstburg Detachment was called to investigate a crash last Friday on Sandwich St. S. Police say that at approximately 11:58 a.m. June 13, an officer attended a single vehicle accident at 83 Sandwich St S. According to police, the driver attended the drive-thru of the involved fast food chain, and when pulling up to the payment window, got his foot stuck on the accelerator which propelled the vehicle through the drive thru lane and into the sign out front. The driver of the involved vehicle was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police add there were no charges as a result of the accident.
