The Amherstburg Fire Department recently held a pair of “Summer Splash” events in local parks, where families could enjoy the sprinklers, get a chance to use a fire hose, grab a bite to eat at a barbecue and take a look at fire equipment, including fire trucks. The “Summer Splash” events were held at Jack Purdie Park and Pat Thrasher Park.
