“Trunk or Treat” popular at Bryerswood

Crowds streamed through the “Trunk or Treat” held last Sunday afternoon at the Bryerswood Youth Camp. A total of 15 vehicles participated this year.

A Halloween tradition has continued at Bryerswood Youth Camp.
The campground held its third annual “Trunk or Treat” last Sunday (Oct. 25) with vehicles being decorated and lining a pathway at the site. Pamela Zeman, a camp director with Bryerswood Youth Camp, said things went well during the three-hour event.
“It’s fantastic,” said Zeman. “We have 15 cars. Everyone had to register to be part of this.”
Camp families, businesses, individuals, and organizations took part in this year’s “Trunk or Treat” event. The weather co-operated this year with sunny skies and pleasant temperatures, unlike last year’s rain that greeted the event.
It was a free event and designed simply to give the community something to do on a Sunday afternoon.
Zeman reported a steady flow of people that went through the “Trunk or Treat,” adding there were other events as well. Families also had the opportunity to enjoy crafts, popcorn, games and more while at Bryerswood Youth Camp. She added they were pleased with how things turned out, given the number of Halloween events in the Windsor-Essex County region.
“There’s a lot of trunk or treats going on right now,” said Zeman.
The Bryerswood Youth Camp is still planning more camps, including a PD Day camp in November.
