A town crier competition was held as part of “Heritage Weekend” July 31-Aug. 2 in downtown Amherstburg. The “Bagpipes in the Burg” parade returned last Friday night, starting by the Park House Museum, headed through King’s Navy Yard Park, entering onto Dalhousie St. by the Gordon House then heading north on Dalhousie St. before the bagpipers gathered at the clock for a performance. The Mid-Summer Dinner, held last Thursday evening at G.L. Heritage Brewing Co., had over 100 people attend and saw proceeds go to Bryerswood Youth Camp and the Rotary Club of Amherstburg. Over 100 guests attended the Mid-Summer Dinner fundraiser last week in support of two area service organizations. Proceeds from the July 23 event, held at G.L.
