Fill the Bus returns June 27-28 A large food drive is returning to Amherstburg later this month. “Fill the Bus” is returning June 27-28 with residents encouraged to donate food to help local non-profit organizations. It runs 9 a.m.-4 p.m. both days. Non-perishable food donations and cash donations can be dropped off at the school buses in the parking lots of Sobeys, No Frills and Walmart. The LaSalle Strawberry Festival was held last weekend with games, rides, a parade, entertainment and more being enjoyed by people from around the region. Despite a quieter start to the final day of festivities, the 38th annual LaSalle Strawberry Festival once again proved why it remains one of the community’s favourite summer traditions.
