Dangerous dog committee holds hearing, upholds muzzle order
The Dangerous Dog Committee upheld a muzzle order following incident. A May 12 confrontation between two dogs, another dog being walked by a girl in the neighbourhood and other residents led to bylaw charges and a muzzle order, the latter being challenged last week. After roughly 15 minutes of deliberating last Tuesday evening, the Amherstburg dangerous dog committee upheld the muzzle order. World Cup fever
The Amherstburg Soccer Club invited players and coaches to attend The Fort Fun Centre for the June 12 World Cup match between Canada and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Much of the crowd was decked out in red clothing to cheer on the Canadian team. The match ended in a 1-1 draw. Approximately 70 players, coaches and parents attended last Friday afternoon’s viewing of the match, which was played at Toronto Stadium at Exhibition Place. World Cup fever

North Star prom 2026
Students from North Star High School in Amherstburg went to the prom last Friday (June 5).
