Two Christmas events hosted at the Park House with another to come
Storyteller Olwyn Coughlin reads “A Christmas Carol” last Friday night at the Park House. Makaiyah Jimmerfield makes Christmas tree decorations out of popcorn. Nearly 200 enjoy turkey dinner thanks to Encounter Church
The musical duo “2Fish” performs at the “Christmas in the Burg” dinner last Sunday night The community got a chance to enjoy a dinner and some live music thanks to a local church. Encounter Church presented its second annual “Christmas in the Burg” Sunday evening featuring not only a full turkey dinner with all the trimmings and dessert, but live music, a Christmas story and even door prizes for a lucky few. Two seatings were held – one at 4 p.m. and the second at 6:30 p.m. -

Christmas Cantata
St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church held their annual Christmas Cantata last Wednesday night with another being held as part of last Sunday morning’ service. Under the musical direction of Matthew Kulbacki and accompanied by Rev. Olwyn Coughlin’s narration, the choir and Rev. Shirley Carleton entertained the crowd with Christmas music. St. Andrew’s will be hosting a Christmas Nativity play this Sunday at 10:30 a.m. as well as a candlelight service Christmas Eve at 7 p.m.
