A town crier competition was held as part of “Heritage Weekend” July 31-Aug. 2 in downtown Amherstburg. Open Air Weekends will be continuing throughout the rest of the month with themed weekends, with last weekend being Heritage Weekend. While rain washed out Sunday’s activities in the downtown core, Friday night and Saturday featured a number of different events including a town crier competition with four criers from around Ontario, including Niagara-on-the-Lake, St. Cathar

The Mid-Summer Dinner, held last Thursday evening at G.L. Heritage Brewing Co., had over 100 people attend and saw proceeds go to Bryerswood Youth Camp and the Rotary Club of Amherstburg. Over 100 guests attended the Mid-Summer Dinner fundraiser last week in support of two area service organizations. Proceeds from the July 23 event, held at G.L.
